Sloping Log Set

Biophilic Design in childhood settings is becoming the new buzz idea, and rightly so! It stems from the term biophilia, which means an innate love for life and living things. Evidence shows that by leaning into Biophilic design, nurseries and schools can actively help support children’s wellbeing. This can be simply done with environmental features, such as the Sloping Log Set, natural patterns and natural light.

The Sloping Log Set is a set of three British hardwood logs, usually Oak, all carefully sanded smooth. Two logs measure at least 500mm in diameter by 350mm high. The third will be at least 500mm in diameter by 500mm high. However, if you have specific requirements, please do get in touch.

These logs have sloping tops for sensory play. The Rustic Log Seats have flat tops. Both have the bark left on, are carefully sanded smooth and oiled. A Sloping Log Set or a combination of the two would make a sensory space with all the benefits of keeping connected to the natural world.
